Welcome messages send an automatic greeting whenever a new member joins your server. You can customize the message content, choose where it’s posted, and optionally assign a role to new members on join.
Navigate to Welcome Messages
Open the Welcome Messages page from the sidebar.
Select the welcome channel
Choose the channel where the bot should send welcome messages.
Write your message
Write a custom welcome message. Use the {member} placeholder to mention the new member by name.Welcome to the server, {member}! Check out #rules to get started.
Assign a role on join (optional)
Select a role to automatically assign to every new member when they join. This is useful for giving members a default role that unlocks specific channels.
The bot needs the Send Messages permission in the welcome channel. If you enable auto-role assignment, the bot also needs Manage Roles and its role must be above the assigned role.
