Mod agreements let you define terms that moderators must accept before receiving their moderation role. Once a moderator reads and signs the agreement, the bot assigns them a designated role that grants their permissions.

Configure mod agreements

Open the dashboard

Go to the BrewBot Dashboard and select your server.

Navigate to Mod Agreements

Open the Mod Agreements page from the sidebar.

Write the agreement text

Write the agreement that moderators must accept. Include your expectations for moderator behavior, responsibilities, and any rules they need to follow.

Select the role to grant

Choose the role that the bot assigns when a moderator signs the agreement. This role should carry the moderation permissions you want to grant.

How moderators sign

Moderators can access and sign the agreement in two ways:
  • Dashboard link — share the agreement page URL from the BrewBot Dashboard directly with your moderators
  • Bot command — moderators use the bot command in your server to view and sign the agreement
The bot needs the Manage Roles permission and its role must be above the role it assigns to moderators.
