# Live monitor

> Watch server chat in real time from the dashboard.

The live monitor lets you view chat messages from your server directly in the [BrewBot Dashboard](https://brewbot.gg). Messages stream in through a WebSocket connection as they happen.

## What you can do

* Watch messages from your server channels in real time
* Monitor conversations without opening Discord
* View message content as it comes in

  The live monitor is read-only. You cannot send messages or interact with the chat from the dashboard.
</Note>

## Open the live monitor

Go to the [BrewBot Dashboard](https://brewbot.gg), select your server, and navigate to the **Live monitor** page. Messages appear as members send them in your server.
